The bag is attached to the top tube of the bike by laced cord. This method securely attaches the bag to the frame and evenly distributes the weight of the bag, which is important to reduce sagging. The lacing takes more time to attach and remove the bag to the frame, which is a useful theft deterrent.
To maximise interior space, straps have been added to the top inside of the bag so that tent poles can be securely stowed. This added functionality dramatically increases the usability of the bag interior and prevents the tent poles from blocking access to the zipper.
This bag contains removable plastic supports along the outer edge. These prevent deformation when loaded, which can cause premature wear, interference with cycling. The rigid structure also improves overall aesthetics.
Custom designed 3-D PETG printed bottle cage mount with side bike-pump attachment to increase space efficiency. By lowering the bottle cage, a larger frame bag was installed, while still being able to easily access the water bottle. The bike pump neatly attaches to side. Durability tested, this part has already endured over 2,000 km of riding in all terrains.
Adhesive fabric was used as a lightweight alternative to protecting the zipper seams with a liner. So far it has been durable in high wear applications and has the added benefit of increasing water resistance.
